West Wendover
West Wendover is a city in far eastern Elko County, Nevada, situated along the Utah state line and directly adjacent to the city of Wendover, Utah. As of the 2020 Census, the population of West Wendover was approximately 4,500.[1]
The city was originally developed to support railroads and later grew rapidly as a gambling and tourism destination when casinos were built to serve nearby Utah residents. Incorporated in 1991, West Wendover is known for its neon skyline, local resorts, and cultural links to both Nevada and Utah.[2]
