Wells
Wells is a small city in northeastern Nevada, located in Elko County at the intersection of Interstate 80 and U.S. Route 93. As of the 2020 Census, Wells had a population of around 1,200 residents.[1]
Wells has historically served as a key crossroads for travelers, from early emigrant trails to modern highways. The area was originally known as Humboldt Wells due to its abundant natural springs, and it grew as a Central Pacific Railroad town in the 1860s. Today, it is known for its gateway access to the Ruby Mountains, hunting, fishing, and its quiet small-town charm.[2]
