Minden
Minden is an unincorporated town and the official county seat of Douglas County in western Nevada. Located in the heart of the Carson Valley, Minden is known for its historic downtown, ranching legacy, and scenic views of the eastern Sierra Nevada. As of the 2020 Census, Minden had a population of around 3,400 residents.[1]
Founded in 1905 by the Dangberg Land and Livestock Company, Minden was planned as a central townsite for the region’s agricultural and commercial development. It remains a civic and cultural hub, located adjacent to Gardnerville and close to state and regional offices.[2]
