Amargosa Valley
Amargosa Valley is an unincorporated community and census-designated place (CDP) located in southern Nye County, Nevada, near the California border and just east of Death Valley National Park. As of the 2020 Census, the valley had a population of approximately 1,000 residents.[1]
Spanning a broad stretch of high desert basin along U.S. Route 95, Amargosa Valley is known for its agriculture, wide-open landscapes, and proximity to public lands. The area has also played a role in energy research and storage discussions due to its proximity to the Nevada National Security Site and Yucca Mountain.[2]
