Pahrump is an unincorporated town and census-designated place (CDP) in southern Nye County, Nevada, located near the California border and about 60 miles west of Las Vegas. As of the 2020 Census, Pahrump had a population of approximately 44,700, making it the largest population center in Nye County.[1]

Originally settled as a ranching and agricultural community, Pahrump began experiencing rapid suburban growth in the late 20th century due to its affordable land, proximity to Las Vegas, and appeal as a retirement destination. Today, it blends rural independence with a growing suburban footprint, offering a mix of services, entertainment, and outdoor access.[2]
