Alamo is an unincorporated town and census-designated place (CDP) in Lincoln County, Nevada, located in the lush Pahranagat Valley along U.S. Route 93. As of the 2020 Census, the town had a population of approximately 1,050 people.[1]

Originally settled in the 1860s and named after the Spanish word for cottonwood, **Alamo** is the largest community in southern Lincoln County. It serves as a regional hub for ranching, farming, and travel between Las Vegas and Ely. The town is also a popular stop for visitors exploring the nearby Extraterrestrial Highway and Pahranagat National Wildlife Refuge.[2]
