Rye Patch is a small unincorporated community and census-designated place (CDP) in north-central Pershing County, Nevada, located just off Interstate 80 and adjacent to the **Rye Patch State Recreation Area**. As of the 2020 Census, the population of Rye Patch was approximately 40 residents.[1]

Named for the nearby **Rye Patch Dam** and **Humboldt River**, the area has historically supported agriculture, travel, and recreation. Today, it serves as a quiet outpost for camping, fishing, and boating enthusiasts, and as a convenient rest point for travelers along I-80.[2]
