Eureka
Eureka is a historic town in central Nevada and the county seat of Eureka County. Known as the “Friendliest Town on the Loneliest Road in America,” Eureka sits along U.S. Route 50 and had a population of approximately 480 as of the 2020 Census.[1]
Founded in the 1860s after major silver-lead discoveries, Eureka grew into one of Nevada’s most important mining centers by the 1870s. Today, the town preserves much of its frontier architecture, with restored historic buildings and museums that offer a window into its mining heritage.[2]
