Boulder City is a unique city in Clark County, Nevada, located approximately 25 miles southeast of Las Vegas near the western shore of Lake Mead. As of the 2020 Census, Boulder City had a population of around 14,900 people.[1]

Founded in the early 1930s to house workers building the nearby Hoover Dam, Boulder City is one of only two cities in Nevada that prohibit gambling. It was federally planned and operated for decades, with wide streets, green spaces, and strong civic oversight.[2]
